Vector Corrosion Technologies Ltd.
David Whitmore graduated with a B.Sc.(Mech) from the University of Manitoba in 1984 and an MBA from University of Western Ontario in 1986. He is currently President of Vector Corrosion Technologies Ltd., which is focused on the development of innovative solutions for corrosion mitigation in concrete structures. His work in research and development of corrosion protection systems and materials for the protection of steel in concrete has resulted in a number of US and international patents. He has been involved in the design and installation of impressed-current cathodic protection systems, electrochemical chloride extraction projects and major arc spray zinc and titanium mesh systems. David has maintained major affiliations with National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), Canadian Society of Civil Engineers (CSCE), and American Concrete Institute (ACI). David is Fellow with both CSCE and ACI. He is a strong supporter of the University of Manitoba Engineering faculty, its staff and student body.
